Leeds moved back into the automatic promotion places with a comfortable 3-1 win at Carlisle United whilst Millwall could only draw at Yeovil.

Simon Grayson made one change from the side that beat Southend on Saturday, Luciano Becchio replacing Jermaine Beckford in attack.

Max Gradel had the first chance of the evening for Leeds United but he shot wide of the target.

Gradel was almost through again minutes later but a desperate last-ditch challenge kept Gradel out and the ball went out for a corner.

Leeds had the ball in the net from the resulting corner but referee Mark Halsey noticed an infringement and gave a free kick to the home side.

Leeds were enjoying plenty of early pressure, Gradel`s ball into the middle found Snodgrass but he shot wide.

Leeds eventually took the lead in the thirteenth minute when Collin in the Carlisle goal let a Snodgrass free kick slip out of his hands and Becchio was first to react to give Leeds the lead

Becchio almost doubled the lead soon afterwards but this time his shot went just wide.

Becchio had a fantastic chance to score again soon afterwards, Snodgrass crossed into the middle and Becchio somehow missed from two yards.

Leeds were continue to carve openings, Gradel worked a ball into the middle and with Howson ready to pounce a Carlisle defender cleared from almost on the line.

Carlisle equalised close to half time when Richard Keogh headed Ian Harte`s free kick, it was there first shot on target.

Leeds almost retook the lead on the stroke of half time when another mix up at the back by Carlisle fell to Snodgrass but he didn`t take advantage of the mistake.

The whistle for half time when soon afterwards and Leeds will have been kicking themselves by not being three or four up at half time.

Leeds retook the lead two minutes into the second half when Gradel head in a Bromby cross.

Becchio scored a third for Leeds on 51 minutes when he left Ian Harte behind and gave Collin no chance in the Carlisle goal, it was the Argentinian`s fourteenth goal of the season.

Becchio had a great chance to complete his hat trick but headed straight at Collin this time.

Carlisle responded and Clayton had two chances in the space of a few seconds.

The game petered out after this and Leeds ran down the clock for a comfortable win.
