The Daily Mail is reporting that the race for Yasin Ben El-Mhanni is only getting more intense with a whole host of clubs linked with the player.

The attacker is free to leave Newcastle this summer after not managing to break into Rafa Benitez’s first-team plans and Leeds are linked with his signature.

However, we seem at serious risk of being crowded out in the race for him with Wolves, Benfica, Lazio, Besiktas, Watford and Sporting Lisbon all among the sides looking at him too.

A battle is on, then, and if we want him we’re going to have to use as much persuasion as possible.

The Verdict

I don’t know much about the lad to be honest but I do think he’s a tricky player and judging by the teams linked he’d be probably a decent arrival.

That said, and with our summer business in mind so far, I don’t hold out much hope of us getting him.
