According to the Mirror’s live blog (03:57), Danny Batth is a target of both Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday as we get into the final days of the loan window.

The Whites have had a much better start to the season compared to the Owls but both need a new centre-half this year.

Certainly, with Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson both already missing games, it’s clear we need another option in the middle of defence.

And with Batth not playing much for Wolves in recent times it would make sense that he wants to join our club instead of stay put with the Old Gold.

With that in mind, then, I think he would be a good player for us and hopefully the start to the season will show that we’re the better option compared to the Owls.

Let’s see what happens as we approach deadline day tomorrow and, of course, the game with Middlesbrough.
