Leeds United are one of several clubs interested in signing Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo, a report from TeamTalk has claimed.

Having spent the past two seasons out on loan in the Championship with West Brom and Blackburn respectively, the 22-year-old has so far made just a handful of appearance for City, and it now seems as though he could be on the move again this summer, only on a more permanent basis.

According to the latest reports, City boss Pep Guardiola is willing to give Adarabioyo a chance to force his way into the first-team at The Etihad, and the club are looking to secure him to a new contract.

However, Adarabioyo is thought to have rejected the chance of a new deal with City, and as a result the club are now reluctantly set to sell him.

That is something that Leeds could be in line to take advantage of, with the Whites among a number of clubs who are apparently monitoring the centre back’s situation.

Fellow Premier League sides Everton, Fulham, Newcastle and West Ham have all also been credited with an interest in Adarabioyo, who it was recently reported could be available for £8million this summer.

With that in mind, this feels like a deal that is well worth looking into for Leeds at this moment in time.

It does still feel as though the Whites need some cover for Liam Cooper and Robin Koch at centre back, and Adarabioyo could be a reliable option to do that, with his performances for Blackburn last season suggesting he is ready for a move to the Premier League this season.

Judging by what has been said across the course of the summer so far, it also looks as though Adarabioyo could be much cheaper than some of Leeds’ other central defensive targets, meaning this could be a move that makes sense from a financial perspective as well as a footballing one.
