Leeds United spent a fairly decent sum to bring in Barry Douglas in what was one of the signings of the summer.
A player influential in getting Wolves into the Premier League last season, he certainly looked more than capable of playing in the top flight this year.
However, once it became apparent we could get him, we duly struck and signed him in a deal that underlined our ambitions for the year.
And, with this stat below in mind, it’s clear we’re already getting a return on our investment:

Whilst much has been made about the starts of Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Mateusz Klich, Douglas has been just as important.
He brings real quality and balance down the left-hand side and his delivery and range with his passing has proven a top weapon.
More assists will surely be on the way this year, too, as we continue to challenge at the sharp end.
