Dennis Wise has yet again taken the unusual step of naming the transfer targets he is looking at this month.

The official Leeds United website, Leedsunited.com carries the story in which Luton’s Dean Morgan and Barnet’s Jason Puncheon are confirmed as players of interest to the management.

Morgan is currently one of the first team squad members that cash-strapped Luton’s administrators are looking to offload on account of his high wages. With just 1 goal in 23 games for the striker, including a loan spell at Southend United, it appears that the former Reading forward is set to depart Kenilworth Road.

Wise’s second target, Jason Puncheon was highlighted previously here on Vital Leeds (‘Puncheon Above His Weight?’ Click Here) as a talented player with excellent potential, however a talent that even his own manager believes could do with a little more refinement and development before moving up the divisions.

The Leeds manager spoke to Leedsunited.com about two of his January transfer targets, but refused to name any further potential acquisitions:

‘I know Dean very well, and Andy Hughes played with him at Reading and knows him well.

‘There are others who I have an interest in, but I’m not going to name any more names at this stage. We’ll see what happens.’
