Fresh from a tough and late victory over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road at the weekend, Leeds United were back in action this evening with a trip to the Madejski Stadium to face struggling Reading.
It was the expected line up from manager Marcelo Bielsa with Liam Cooper coming back in for Gaetano Berardi who took his spot back on the bench.
Again Leeds had far more of the ball and we created four chances more than the hosts, however, we failed to test their keeper and get a shot on target in the opening 45 minutes.
We didn’t really get our act together in the second half either and both sides finished the match with two chances apiece on target but we had double the efforts overall, however, the more reliable Jack Harrison made his chance count in the 87th minute to give us the win and all three points.
A drab and uninspiring game but we return to the top of the Championship by a point, but obviously West Bromwich Albion have a game in hand. It’s how we wanted to end the night though.
