At the beginning of the week with most Leeds United eyes on the impending transfer of Pontus Jansson, there was another bit of gossip on the rumour mill that seemed to gain massive traction and it concerned Rotherham United’s Semi Ajayi.
I’m not sure exactly what the original claim was as it appeared on social media, but it gained enough movement for a number of outlets to cover it but rubbish it in the process as it seemed there was some claim that he was at the training ground for a medical and discussion on personal terms.
Clearly, there is some link here with ongoing Kalvin Phillips speculation given the 25-year-old’s versatlity as he played at centre half and defensive midfield for most of the campaign, returning eight goals – and fans with long memories will remember Paul Warne’s Spygate crack when he found the back of the net against us.

Thanks for raining on my parade. If Jansson was told he was out 3 weeks ago surely they'd have a replacement in mind by now so they wouldn't have to chase a flight down the runway. You never know though with Leeds………
