Leeds United continue to fly high near the top of the Championship standings but a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest still leaves things looking extremely tight, with Sheffield United and Middlesbrough within touching distance.

It is fair to say Kemar Roofe’s equalising goal against Forest at the weekend was controversial after it appeared he had used his hands in the latter stages to secure a point and it has led to fury from their Championship rivals.

Former Forest and Leeds man Kenny Burns was amongst those to be upset at the incident and, in his rage, he claimed that the Peacocks would ‘choke’ in their push for promotion under Marcelo Bielsa this season.

It did not take long for Leeds fans to jump on those comments and they expressed their own views, with some pointing out that he was part of the side that was relegated in 1982 so may know what he is talking about.
