Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has spoken about the threat the USA poses to Gareth Southgate’s three lions.

As per LeedsLive, the television pundit and commentator has warned England about the stiffer test USA will be, than in their opening game against Iran. The three lions will face America on Friday and Leeds duo Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams could both cause England problems. Adams is a tough-tackling, no-nonsense midfielder with a fantastic engine and knows how to disrupt the opposition and stop them from playing. Aaronson also has a fantastic engine and is a high-pressing menace who constantly puts defenders under pressure in dangerous areas.

England ran riot on Monday, finishing the game with a 6-2 win, but Iran caused them some problems at the back. The Americans can certainly replicate that and they have a stronger squad than most people realise. Timothy Weah, Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and Sergino Dest are all good quality players and with Aaronson and Adams in the side, they will certainly give England something to think about. The USA drew their opener with Wales, but it took a Gareth Bale late penalty to salvage a point, and they will be looking to pick up their first win in the tournament on Friday.

Can the Leeds duo upset England?

Yes, definitely!

Yes, definitely!

No chance!

No chance!

Keown, talking about Aaronson said, “The attacking midfielder is living up to the hype after a bright start to his Premier League career at Leeds and will be the main support act for Pulisic, Underestimate him at your peril.”

“You are guaranteed 100mph football from the USA. It’s all action and energy and England’s defenders should expect a high-pressing game. Aaronson covers great distances, as does his Leeds team-mate Tyler Adams, hence why Jesse Marsch signed them both in the summer.”

What do you think, can the USA cause England some problems and maybe an upset? Let us know in the comments.
