Ex-Leeds United chairman Peter Ridsdale has said that his replacement at Elland Road, the wonderful Ken Bates will be made to feel like he’s wanted when the two sides meet at Ninian Park on Saturday.

Ridsdale, the man who oversaw Leeds borrowing over £60m against future gate receipts for all kinds of things, including tropical fish (whatever happened to those fish, who owns them now?) was thrown out of the Leeds boardroom by Bates after the 1-0 defeat to Cardiff at Elland Road in August. Our Ken was said to be unhappy at the way Ridsdale celebrated the victory over his former club.

‘I haven’t spoken to Ken since the incident but, of course, he is welcome at Ninian Park on Saturday,’

‘We have a tradition at Cardiff of welcoming all opposition directors and officials, and he will be offered the same hospitality as everyone else.’

Lets hope your notorious fans feel the same way!
