It has been reported that Leeds United Chairman Ken Bates has had yet another run in with the countries football authorities, this time over the price of bottled water.

Bates, along with 9 of his fellow Leeds United directors were attending a £10,000-a-table dinner hosted by the Professional Footballers Association to celebrate their centenary at the heart of English football, however despite forking out a fortune for the privilege, it appeared that Mr Bates didn’t fancy paying the extra for table water.

Following a disagreement over paying for such a simple service, considering the overall entry fee, Mr Bates then took his party back to Leeds to one of his favourite restaurants.

Perhaps after the incidents regarding the price of tropical fish, that Bates has taken heed of his predecessor’s mistakes over all things aquatic!
