Leeds United defender Bryce Hosannah is set to join Bradford City on loan, The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth has reported.

Hosannah has yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for the Whites, and it now looks as though the 21-year-old right-back could be given the chance to experience regular senior football elsewhere this season.

According to Smyth’s latest update, Hosannah is set to complete a loan move to Bradford for the coming campaign, which could see him given the chance to get more senior football under his belt.

It is thought that a move to Valley Parade is imminent for the young defender, and could even be announced as early as today (Tuesday).

As things stand, Bradford are currently ninth in the League Two table, having won one and drawn two of their three league games so far this season.

Should this move go through, Hosannah could make his debut for the Bantams in the EFL Trophy next Tuesday, with their league games away at Grimsby Town that had been scheduled for this weekend already postponed.

This does look as though it ought to be a good move both for Hosannah and Leeds going forward.

It is hard to really see the young right-back forcing his way into Bielsa’s side this season going forward, so it makes sense for him to go out on loan in search of more regular first-tam football.

That is something that should give him the chance to improve even further, making him more of an asset when he returns to Elland Road, and it is good to see the club being proactive in securing deals such as these for their young players.
