Earlier today it was confirmed that Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa and striker Kemar Roofe had won the respective Sky Bet Championship Manager and Player of the Month awards for August.
🏆 | #LUFC pair Marcelo Bielsa and Kemar Roofe have been named the @SkyBetChamp's Manager and Player of the Month for August

Argentine gaffer Bielsa did have a slow start to life at the club over the pre-season period but we put that firmly behind us with a six-game unbeaten run (four wins and two draws) to notch up 14 points to top the table with goal difference giving us the advantage over Middlesbrough at this moment in time.
Roofe has been particularly impressive in the starting lineup and is keeping summer signing Patrick Bamford out of the team with is performances and goal return.
In his matches so far this year in the second tier, he’s scored four times and laid on two assists for his teammates.
Let’s be fare roofe had a mare at bramall Lane last season, he’s probably changed a lot of fans opinion of him! I certainly thought he would be no more than a squad player, how wrong was I. FairPlay to the guy, long May it continue

All about the points in the bag than how they came about but morally right ????

He refused a picture with it because “it’s too early for trophies”

Fantastic achievement and fully deserved. Can’t wait for the Millwall game now. That’s one game I’m desperate for us to win. Hate them.

Radrizzani knew Bielsa would win it and knew there was a curse on the award so he got help from the Pope. Genius! Bielsa will probably eat that curse for breakfast with Bielsaball ???? Just to be safe… Touches wood ????

Superb stuff. Very pleased for Kemar Roofe, top lad with a first class attitude – hard work really paying off.
Biesla take a bow, what a start— Super_Leeds_MOT (@SuperLeedsUtd5) September 7, 2018
Bielsa also won praise amongst the fan base for seemingly not entertaining the PR aspects of the awards as I’m yet to see him posing with the trophy.
