According to Scouts in Attendance, David Pleat from Tottenham was at Leeds U23’s game with Watford earlier this week to have a look at what was going on.

The Whites have got an excellent youth set-up at the moment and the U23 side and U18 side have both enjoyed decent success of late.

The U23 team hammered Watford 3-0, too, and took after the senior boys in the way they played, so Pleat was certainly impressed.

It is not clear whether he was actually there to look at a Leeds player in particular, but you’d have thought that a few may well have caught his eye as he looked at Watford’s Ryan Cassidy.

With the way the U23 side is going, and with the way Marcelo Bielsa has been willing to blood the kids, you’d have thought that Premier League interest is only going to grow in our side.

And, clearly, after this update it’d be no surprise to see Tottenham sniffing around suddenly.
