With the midweek victory and revenge, over Preston North End in our most recent Championship clash following the EFL Cup exit the other week, manager Marcelo Bielsa has again come in for praise from the Leeds United faithful.
Hosting Preston at Elland Road we took a 3-0 victory with goals coming from Liam Cooper and a Tyler Roberts brace as he opened up his club account following his January arrival from West Bromwich Albion and the game, of course, saw our unbeaten run in 2018/19 stretch to eight games in the second tier.
After last season, in particular, there’s plenty for fans to be thankful for and more importantly to enjoy and following the game, Bielsa was asked what had attracted him to Leeds in the first place, and he compared us favourably with Marseille, Bilbao and Lille – much to the delight of fans.
"We talk a lot about the relationship between English people and football. It's always a beautiful experience." #lufc

Given our start to the season Bielsa did get one thing wrong in my humble, he’s not discovering English football from the ‘inside’, he’s doing it from the top and long may that continue.
