Jerry Mbakogu is a player who looked set to join our club and now I’m not sure it’s even going to happen at all.

At the very early stages of this off-season period, it looked as though he’d be swapping Serie B for the Championship – though I know many of our fans were not exactly keen on that.

And, perhaps with that in the background and all that has changed at the club since, it now looks as though he might not be coming after all.

Indeed, after a fan asked Phil Hay, the journalist revealed that he hasn’t heard anything about it for a while, suggesting that we might not be going for him after all:

The Verdict

In the nicest possible way, this is a deal that I’d be more than pleased to not see happen.

He might be good for us but there’s a big chance he wouldn’t be any many of us are sick and tired of the club gambling with transfers.

Sorry, Jerry, but now is not the right time.
