Jerry Mbakogu continues to be linked with the Whites and it looks as though some think that he might be close to signing.
I know what a lot of us are thinking about this potential arrival.
He’s a striker that isn’t very well known in this country and that could largely be used as a way to describe many of our recent signings.
With that in mind, then, a lot of us are worried he’s not going to be what we need from a new no.9 but, as per journalist Nicolo Schira, a deal still looks set to be going ahead:
Jerry #Mbakogu is close to agreeing a move to #Leeds from #Carpi for €3,5 M. He’ll sign a contract until 2022. #LUFC #transfers

The Verdict
It’s a fairly big gamble we’ll be taking yet again.
I’m all for him proving to be a top striker and a hidden gem but after what’s gone on recently we’re rightly concerned.
It’ll be a long contract and a significant fee by the looks of it, too, which is also a worry.
