Former Leeds United stalwart Eddie Lewis kicked off his Premiership campaign with an assist as Derby fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City.

Lewis, who only recently moved from Leeds to Derby for an undisclosed fee provided a pinpoint cross for County captain Matt Oakley to volley home.

Unfortunately for Lewis it was a losing start, as Cameron Jerome struck twice either side of the Derby goal to pick up all 3 points.

Our other departure to the Premiership, striker David Healy, had a much quieter game, not particularly featuring in Fulham’s 2-1 defeat at Villa.
