“I’ve always believed this is the right step forward” – A lot of Leeds fans are buzzing to hear that Elland Road will be expanded to 50,000 over the coming seasons.
Angus Kinnear, the managing director, has confirmed that the expansion is in place.
Leeds are celebrating their centenary today, and the announcement is the perfect news for many Whites supporters who are thrilled.
One fan claimed that this would finally allow Leeds to realise their potential – while another is expecting the atmosphere to get even better.
There are a few though who still aren’t happy.
One supporter claimed the move was not ambitious enough, and another fan thinks that the atmosphere will be worse with a less die-hard Leeds crowd.
Either way, the responses to this news make for interesting reading.

Exciting news for the future. Right now the Merrion centre shop has told me that the centenary shirt will be on sale tonight for £149. But it does come in a gift box with a book included.

Don’t think it’s ambitious enough, with PL football and good marketing no reason why we shouldn’t be aiming for around 55-60k

Must have some backing as that will be big money! Cue FA and EFL now trying to add that to FFP.

The extra 15 thousand will be premier league prawn sandwich munchers. Atmosphere will go down the pan on promotion.
