“Imagine my shock”, “Oh good” – Lots of Leeds fans react to club update

|

Lots of Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media after our Championship clash with Nottingham Forest was moved for live TV coverage on Sky Sports.

Next month’s City Ground encounter was originally scheduled to kick off at 15:00 on Saturday, February 8, but will now commence at 17:30 on the same day.

It becomes United’s 11th second-tier fixture of the season to be played out in front of the Sky Sports cameras, joining our upcoming trip to Queens Park Rangers on January 18 and recent matches with West Bromwich Albion and Preston North End.

We have won four of our Championship games shown on Sky Sports so far this season having beaten Bristol City, West Brom, Reading and Huddersfield, while playing out draws with Forest, Derby, Sheffield Wednesday, Preston and the Baggies.

Having taken four wins and five draws in the nine televised games to date means we are unbeaten in front of the Sky Sports cameras in 2019/20, and will likely need to maintain a favourable record against Forest with a trip to Brentford on the following Tuesday night.

Will we beat Nottingham Forest on February 8?

Yes

No

Forest are currently joint on points with third-placed Brentford but have a game in hand having only played 25 of their 26 matches, which could see the City Ground natives reduce their deficit to the automatic promotion spots to six points with a win.

Here are some of the messages shared as fans reacted to the club sharing that our fixture away to Nottingham Forest next month was being moved for TV broadcast…

In other Leeds United news, an agent has confirmed that we have lodged a bid to land a striker, but the deal has been ruled out.
