Promotion to the Premier League may not be secured, but fans on the R/LeedsUnited Reddit page have been discussing who Victor Orta could sign should we move up a tier.

Marcelo Bielsa’s squad will certainly need strengthening, as the current campaign has highlighted just how thin the first-team has been whenever injuries cropped up – and there’s been more than a few of those.

We could always return to our winter interest in Daniel James, to give the boss another exciting and pacey winger to work with, but we all know Swansea will play hardball with his contract, and there’s a lot of interest in him from the Premier League.

Former Bielsa players like Ander Iturraspe could also be on the cards with his contract at Athletic Bilbao set to expire in the summer, and he has been linked with a reunion in West Yorkshire.

Those captures would not give us a prolific, and top-flight experienced, striker, however, and we may not be able to rely on Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford to do the job in the Premier League.

The attacking duo simply do not have the experience of the top-flight for us all to go into a Premier League campaign confident they will hit the ground running.

Roofe, for one, had barely made a name for himself before he signed with us. Meanwhile, for Bamford, he has played 27 top-tier games from his time with Middlesbrough, Norwich, Crystal Palace and Burnley, but only found the net on one occasion.

So when the topic of strengthening for the Premier League came up on the R/LeedsUnited Reddit page, this is what some of our fans had to say…
