Gillingham caretaker manager Iffy Onuora was slightly disappointed with the performance his side gave as they snatched a late point against Leeds.
In a game full of controversy after spotlight stealing referee Mr McDermet decided to be a bit furity with his yellow and red cards, Onuora felt that one point was two too few and that The Gills had snatched a draw from the jaws of victory.
Speaking to the Gillingham official website Iffy said: “I thought it was a quiet game and nothing much happened! We are disappointed. We had control of the game and was starting to establish a platform to go forward.”
“I must admit that I was slightly disappointed because they were down to nine men and you want to win your home games. When you think about it again and put it into context, how difficult it was and because you are being greedy and want the three points, look at the form they have been in, the breaks they had and the blocks and fortunate goal.
I am a bit disappointed not to have got all three points but there are no recriminations and I thought our lads went about their jobs ever so well.”
