With various graphs and tables doing the rounds this week comparing Leeds United’s start to the Championship campaign of 2018/19 under manager Marcelo Bielsa to previous years where it looked like we might buck the trend, it’s probably fitting that yesterday gave rise to one of our proverbial horror shows from previous years.
With over a decade out of the top-flight following previous mismanagement, there’s plenty of reason for hope this year given our attacking display and largely dominant performances but of course, we have had a wobble as injuries more than took their toll on our ability to put the ball in the back of the net.
Luke Ayling aside, the injury situation is easing and we’ve welcomed some key players back so there’s good reason to believe our form will turn again. What we don’t want against Wigan Athletic is a repeat of this one.
Paul Rachubka vs. Blackpool, Nov 2nd 2011:
45 minutes played
3 goals conceded
3 individual errors
1 dropped catch led to Tom Lees' red card
Subbed off at half-time for 18-year-old Alex Cairns

Will never forget this game and the hatred I had for this bloke.

Horrible to watch but he had also cost us at least a goal a game in the previous half dozen matches. Utterly useless.

Individually the worst 45 minutes I’ve ever seen from a Leeds player ever. If he was been scored 1-10 that day he would have scored a 0 that’s how bad it was
