The wait is nearly over people.
With the first pre-season game now just a week away, fans and media alike are starting to wonder exactly what the Leeds team will look like going into next season. Will there be a change in formation? How many of the new signings will go straight into the first team? Who is going to be starting in goal?
Whilst we don’t know exactly what the makeup of the squad will be until after the transfer window, it’s interesting to see what Leeds fans think of the team in its current state.
So when noted Twitter account Nothing But Leeds posed the question of what next year’s forward line could possibly look like, it got Leeds fans thinking. Do they need to buy another forward? Will they dip into the academy to bring in some young blood? Are they fine with what they really have?
Roberts. We’re not gonna have too many strikers in a 1 striker system.

I think Leeds sell roofe…he will want the same as Bamford (righlty so) and we can’t afford that, so we either sell him now or he goes for free at end of season

Two is fine we was just unlucky with injuries last year

We need a top striker IMO – I can’t see either Roofe or Bamford staying fit for long enough to score over 20 goals. I hope I’m wrong but we need to score more goals than last season to win automatic promotion.

After a year in which Leeds sustained a catalogue of injuries to what seemed like everyone in the team, it will be interesting to see if Leeds stick with what they have and hope the injury bug doesn’t strike twice, or if they do make some additions, either from within or from other teams.
