Is there festive cheer for Rob Hulse, as the striker is told he will find out at Christmas what the season holds for him?

Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell is hopeful that the club will not have to play the majority of the season without striker Rob Hulse.

The former West Brom hitman has scored eight goals for the Whites this season but has been troubled by a hip problem and may have to undergo surgery soon.

The club’s joint top scorer should find out his fate later on this week.

And Hulse may be ruled out just as Richard Cresswell is returning to the team from over two months on the sidelines with knee ligament damage.

Blackwell said: ‘It would be a major blow (if Hulse has to undergo surgery) as we lost Richard Cresswell so early on. We’ll just have to see how it goes.’
