I start the week feeling good after a weekend and that, this season, is certainly saying something.
Of course, we shouldn’t forget the start to the campaign and how good that was but much of the talk in the last couple of months is how we’ve been lucky to not be in the relegation battle.
Beating Barnsley, then, was a welcome shot in the arm and seeing Tom Pearce put in a fine showing and notch a goal was also pleasing.
Here’s what he had to say after the match:

Certainly, he is bang on the money with this attitude and it is clear that some of our players need to adopt such an outlook.
Let’s look at the reaction to this on Twitter…
This is the mentality each and every single player needs! Playing for Leeds IS an honour and the young lads have been showing it game in and game out. Just a shame some of the players don’t share their passion

Wish the rest has this attitude

The senior players need to take a leaf out of his book… putting them all to shame

Always an honour till a different club come knocking.

How refreshing

Pin that on the dressing room wall and all round the training ground

The Verdict
Pearce looks like an exciting talent and I am more than happy to see him get a string of games going if that is what happens.
He’s got plenty of energy and quality by the looks of things whilst his mentality – based on these words – would appear to be in the right place.
Thoughts, Whites? Let me know!
