Leeds United put a difficult summer behind them yesterday with a fantastic, and thoroughly well deserved, victory over Stoke City at Elland Road.
Opening the 2018/19 Championship campaign up on home soil, we took all three points and the first three points of manager Marcelo Bielsa’s reign following goals from Mats Klich, Pablo Hernandez and Liam Cooper and the performance was certainly well received by the fans in attendance.
Whilst people shouldn’t get too carried away, it is only one game after all, it’s the perfect way to open a new year and it has certainly seen a bounce in optimism and hopes are certainly rising.
It wasn’t just the result that pleased people, it was also the performance with some cracking individual showings on display and people are more confident than ever that Bielsa is the right man to truly turn us around as a club again.
Now to keep it going as long as we can and see what kind of marker we can lay down before the inevitable hiccups get in the way.
Man of The Match for me should’ve been @Cli5hy
