Glenn Hoddle has set his sights on having a prosperous Christmas after his Wolves side climbed several places and back into the Coca-Cola Championship top six.

Wolves had drawn their previous four matches but a single Vio Ganea goal was enough to condemn Leeds to a second successive defeat.

Hoddle: ‘The league table is positive for us and this win gives us something to build on. It’s a good foundation for Christmas.

‘If we can back it up with three more points here against Reading on Boxing Day, people will sit up and take notice. If they come and take us on it will be a super game.

‘I tried to get the match brought forward to Christmas Eve because four games in eight games is ridiculous.

‘Then again the people at the league aren’t the ones who have to play.

‘We’ll be looking for 12 points but I’ll be delighted with nine or 10 because I’m going to have to change the squad round. There are some players you can’t expect to play all four matches.’
