Hibs Captain a Leeds Target?

Former Grimsby Town defender Rob Jones is rumoured to have had a potential move to Elland Road blocked by current club Hibernian.

Jones only joined the SPL side last summer from Grimsby for an undisclosed fee, however he is believed to be wanting a return to English football, with Leeds United showing an interest in the player.

The 27-year old’s agent Kevin Smith told The Sun: “I know Rob has spoken with the chairman and expressed his desire to go back to England to play his football.”

“I am aware Leeds have shown an interest in Rob.”
“But Hibs have made it clear that he is not for sale and there is bad feeling and disappointment on our side.”

The BBC are today reporting that Hibs have declined to comment on the matter and as it stands, the player remains contracted to, and captain of Hibernian.
