Leeds Word On The Tweet

‘He’s not wrong tbh’, ‘Cliché goblin’ – Loads of Leeds fans react to manager’s comments

Former Leeds manager Neil Warnock never achieved anything during his time with us, except fearing relegation, but if we are to take something under Marcelo Bielsa, he expects it to be through the Play-Offs.

That’s going by his promotion predictions to TalkSPORT on Thursday, where the current Cardiff boss hailed the work being done at Sheffield United by Chris Wilder and the strength shown by Norwich.

The 70-year-old did have some kind words to say about the fans in West Yorkshire, though, but the same cannot be said for the players.

That’s because, for Warnock, the reason we will not achieve the desired automatic promotion is because of our defence and the fragilities it has shown at times.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show, Warnock claimed: “Leeds, what a club.

“They fill the stadium every game whatever division they’re in, and they’re just so desperate to get back into the Premier League.

“He’s done a good job, Bielsa, but I think Leeds will miss out. I just think Leeds have got a soft belly at times at the back when they’re under pressure, in comparison with the other two.

“I think Sheffield United will be very, very difficult to push out of that top two. Chris Wilder has built a good side, they were one of the best teams we played last year, and he’s got a way of playing that’s very difficult to play against.

“I think Norwich and Sheffield United are the favourites.”

As we are now on the back foot in the race for automatic promotion, the backline will have their chance to prove Warnock wrong and show that they do not have a soft belly when under pressure.

And when the quotes were shared on social media, this is what some of you had to say…
