Many Leeds United fans have been responding on social media to a recent tweet by the Yorkshire Post’s Leon Wobschall, as he addressed the current state of the club.
Wobschall took to Twitter on Tuesday evening following the announcement of Pablo Hernandez’s two-year contract extension, and suggested that United are getting all of our ducks in line ahead of the winter transfer market.
He then added that, if January goes smoothly, we could be set for an ‘almighty chance’ at securing promotion, having fallen agonisingly short last season.
Leeds seem to be getting all their ducks in a row. If January goes smoothly, they have one almighty chance #lufc

As well as Hernandez’s new deal, the club have secured the long-term futures of Kalvin Phillips, Mateusz Klich, Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas this season.
We are also firmly in the promotion race again with Marcelo Bielsa’s men currently third on goal difference to Preston North End, and are just two points behind Championship leaders West Bromwich Albion after 16 games.
The 2018/19 campaign saw Bielsa organise an incredible promotion challenge having arrived at the club following a mid-table finish, and saw that we sat top of the table come the turn of the year.
It was ultimately not to be as we lost in the Play-Off Semi-Finals, in a campaign that featured a difficult January window as the club failed to get a deal for Daniel James over the line when Swansea City pulled the plug at the eleventh hour on Deadline Day.
Where will we end the Championship season?
Title winners
Automatic promotion
Play-Off winners
Not going up
Here are some of the responses offered to Wobschall’s post…
