Phil Hay has been talking about some of our rivals next season in the Championship with 2018/19 looking set to be a tight one.
The second tier is always tough, of course, and we’ve certainly made it hard for ourselves at times but at least this summer we seem to be aiming to be a bit more ambitious.
However, there are plenty of other clubs also looking to do the same this window with Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham all looking to shake things up.
For Phil Hay, though, whilst Aston Villa are going to struggle it looks as though Stoke are going to be the team to beat as he expects them to spend big:
on the flipside you've got Stoke who look like going to town in the transfer market this summer. Hard at this stage to know how the division will shake down next season.

I’d imagine all three clubs that came down from the top flight will be hard to beat this season.
Yes, they’ll lose players this summer but they’ll have the parachute payments and they have always been hard to try and compete with.
