Heath Departs Leeds United

Leeds United defender Matt Heath has left Elland Road today, moving to Championship side Colchester United on loan until April 12th.

In yet another bizarre move, in that an ‘unwanted’ United player is now plying their trade at a higher division club (as was the case with Shaun Derry at Palace) Heath will now slot into a Colchester side suffering somewhat of an injury crisis.

A Dennis Wise signing, Heath has played just once under new boss Gary McAllister and now looks destined to move on in the summer. As one Vital Leeds forum member suggested:

“I think we’re trying to sneak into the championship by sending in one player at a time, Derry, Ameobi, Weston, and now Matt Heath!”
