Following his £1.5 million to Fulham from Leeds United, Northern Ireland international David Healy has declared that he will prove himself in the Premier League. Healy`s top-flight experience to date came in a single substitute appearance for Manchester United during the 99/01 season and he now believes he can make it on the big stage.

Whilst his international record speaks for itself, he is after all Northern Ireland`s top goal scorer of all time; Healy`s league form isn`t as wonderful with an average of 0.25 goals per game.

Talking to the Fulham F.C. website Healy said “I am confident in my ability and I am confident that I will score goals in the Premier League,”

“I could easily have stayed at Leeds or signed for a club in the Championship, but everyone wants to play in the Premier League and I am no different.”

It remains to be seen as to whether Healy can actually cut it in the top division.
