Plenty of Leeds United fans have been having their say on whether they would like to see Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud come to Elland Road.

The 33-year-old recently put pen to paper on a new short-term contract at Stamford Bridge after scoring five goals from nine starts for the Blues this season.

If Leeds are promoted to the Premier League, Leeds Live presented an array of players could be available this summer and Giroud is one of them.

Should Leeds target Olivier Giroud?

After winning the World Cup with France in 2018, Giroud has never been a regular starter with Chelsea but tends to score in the big moments during games. But has got himself consistently among the goalscoring tally over the years, also with Arsenal during the 2010s.

Taking this into consideration, supporters were not convinced that Giroud would fit into Bielsa’s system and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he simply “hasn’t got the engine”, while another believes that the club should stick with Patrick Bamford.
