It’s safe to say that the league table does not lie, and Leeds are in trouble. It turns out that Dennis Wise may turn to a (reasonably) unlikely bit of experience for the middle of the park. It is being reported that Assistant Manager Gustavo Poyet could make a sensational playing return!

Poyet didn’t actually play in his last job as a ‘player-assistant” with Swindon town, however after firing in a brilliant volley against Ethnikos Achas, may be set for a return to English football. Poyet played 105 times for Chelsea, scoring 36 goals.

I’m not sure a 40-year-old is the answer to our problems, however if he, like Thompson has the ability to hammer home the odd goal? It could be the absolute difference between sink, swim, or ‘oh my goodness break out the life raft.’

….Does anyone have a life raft, or perhaps you have a slightly more serious opinion on the story? Please do register with Vital Leeds, or perhaps you can go to our forums and make a contribution!
