Leeds United have found themselves linked with Queens Park Rangers midfielder Luke Freeman quite a lot in 2019, but it now seems that teammate and Australian international Massimo Luongo will be available this summer.
A few days back London Football News reported that we had an interest in the 26-year-old player and Nottingham Forest were also heavily linked – but given their managerial changes, whether he’d still be a target for them is open to debate.
In any event, the player is entering the final 12 months of his deal and given his wage level at QPR they aren’t going to be offering him new terms with ongoing Financial Fair Play issues, so the expectation is it wouldn’t take a huge bid to get a deal done.
With the speculation earlier in the month that Fulham were preparing to make a move for Adam Forshaw, Luongo seems like a natural replacement in many ways and plenty of fans like the idea as they reacted to the link on social media.
Really good player. Finally, great news.

Proper player. Watched him for Australia a lot. Proper player. Though, I said the same about Ideguchi when we signed him too having watched him for Japan a lot.
