‘Great news’, ‘naaaaa’ – Some Leeds fans have mixed reactions to link with Australian midfielder

As Jack Clarke’s move to Spurs draws ever nearer, Leeds United are making plans on how to spend that money, and it appears as though they are looking to make a one in one out move in the nation’s capital.

Reports are coming in from LondonFootballNews that Leeds, as well as Nottingham Forest, are in the market for QPR’s Australian midfielder Massimo Luongo, with the 26-year-old about to enter the final year of his contract.

Luongo operates predominantly as a central midfielder, so Leeds fans needn’t worry about this potentially being a replacement for Kalvin Phillips. He could certainly add depth to a team that was riddled with injuries last season.

The majority of Leeds fans seem in favour of the move, although there were a few who thought that the spending spree shouldn’t just stop at one QPR player, they basically want to raid the West London club for all their best players.

One fan however went to very strange lengths in order to get this deal done, going so far as to appeal directly to the club’s owner Andrea Radrizzani and, even more bizarrely Marcelo Bielsa’s official translator Salim Lamrani to encourage them to get the deal signed.
