Leeds United boss Simon Grayson didn`t want to settle for a point on Saturday as his Leeds side went all out for three points in the closing stages at Charlton.

Leeds finished the game with five strikers on the field as Grayson went all out for promotion with Millwall losing 2-0 at Tranmere.

They was beaten very late on when captain Richard Naylor headed into his own goal.

Speaking on the Football League Show, Grayson said “We had some great opportunities and the keeper made some good saves. Obviously in the last fifteen minutes we realised one goal would get us promoted. You take responsibility as a manager when you make them decisions and we had five strikers on the pitch and we done with a sucker punch.”

The result does still leave Leeds in the box seat for promotion with just one game remaining next weekend.

In a tremendous finish to the League One campaign anyone of five teams could still join Norwich City in the Championship next season.

Leeds will be cheered on by nearly 40,000 at Elland Road against Bristol Rovers and remain firm favourites to take the final automatic spot.

In the clash of the day Millwall welcome Swindon Town to the Den with both sides one point behind Leeds and in with a shout of taking second spot.

Charlton are a further point behind and travel to Oldham Athletic.

Huddersfield Town have crept into the reckoning on the final day and will need to see a five-goal swing to have any chance of being promoted next weekend.

They travel to Exeter City on the final day with the Grecians also desperate for three points to avoid relegation.
