With massive disappointment for Leeds United fans on Saturday as we lost 1-0 to Sheffield United to lose slight ground in the battle for the automatic promotion spots in the Championship, there were positives.
The spirit on show, the fact it was a game we definitely shouldn’t have lost given our overall domination and we were able to welcome back young talent Jack Clarke for his first game since he collapsed to much worry in the tie with Middlesbrough.
With some fans throwing the baby out with the bathwater in the aftermath of the game, a more philosophical approach is recommended as we all knew there would be twists and turns and we saw enough in the game to put it down to ‘one of those days’. We’ve had these before, we will again.
Focusing in purely on the positive that was the return of Clarke given all the worry in the 18-year-old’s direction after the incident, the following comments pleased me even if we know he can be better when he gets back fully sharp.
Yes I am fuming we lost but no I wouldn't pick on any single player for it. We play as a team, win as a team and lose as a team. Roofe to come back soon and good to see Clarke on the pitch. Not our day. #LUFC #ALAW #MOT

All I will say is need a goal we have Dallas Douglas and Clarke. No fire power #lufc

I would really like to see more use of the shack in this Leeds team. Always makes a positive impact. Douglas offers very little as a sub for me. Good to see jack clarke back in what else was a game decided by a mistake. We will come again. #MOT

Going to be a frustrating two weeks now, but there’s still matches to be played and we’re not out of the race yet. Anyway, it was good to see Clarke back today. Keep the faith! #MOT #ALAW #LUFC

Harrison should bury his chance, different game if he does. You have to question the subs, Dallas and Douglas aren't playing well and Clarke was ineffective. Roberts, Pablo, Cooper, Bamford, Alioski werent at the races either. The pressure has been lifted now though #lufc
