“Going To Be Some Player” “Onto A Good Thing” – These Leeds Fans Love Friday’s Announcement

|

With most eyes on Leeds United’s clash this weekend with Sheffield Wednesday, one piece of news some fans may have missed was that the club announced youngster Nohan Kenneh’s first professional contract.

The versatile defender/midfielder turned 17-year’s-old on Friday and put pen to paper on his first deal at Thorp Arch and it seems we have high hopes for the lad, giving him a contract that will see him through until the end of the 2022 campaign.

Despite his tender age he’s already represented England at Under 17 level this season and already a regular for Mark Jackson at Under 18 level, he’s also made the step up to Carlos Corberan’s Under 23 setup.

For those with very long memories, speculation last summer suggested that Paris Saint-Germain were sniffing around him but thankfully, it seems, we don’t have to worry about that now the deal is signed.

Arguably one for the future but it’ll be interesting to see how he develops from here as there’s certainly a buzz around him.
