With Leeds United’s midfielder, Mats Klich, currently away on international action with Poland, he’s been naturally conducting interviews and we came up in a few conversations when it came to our run for promotion last season, before ultimately tasting double disappointment.
Having arrived at Elland Road back in the summer of 2017, the 29-year-old has made 66 appearances for the club, with eleven goals contributed, but he was shipped out on loan to FC Utrecht for the second half of the 2017/18 campaign.
With a new lease of life under manager Marcelo Bielsa though, he’s become a key player for us and as he spoke to Przemyslaw Rudzki he pretty clearly hinted that contract talks to extend his time with us had been going on in the background, and it seems those conversations are now nearing an end.
Btw Mateusz Klich asked by journalist whether he will consider change of the club if Leeds fail promotion again, responed that currently he is on the way to renew his current contract. #lufc #alaw https://t.co/iHWCjkuuK7

Reaction to the news, given his performances last year and so far this season, has been positive as you’d expect.
