Plenty of Leeds United fans were in joyous mood after their side’s 3-1 victory against Derby County on Sunday.
Not only were they promoted to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years, but they were confirmed as champions as Brentford failed to beat Stoke City on Saturday.
Pablo Hernandez, Jamie Shackleton and an own goal by Matt Clarke ensured that the celebrations could continue uninterrupted.
Is Klich in with a shout to be crowned Player of the Year?
Yes
No
In an act that will never be forgotten, Mateusz Klich took it upon himself to jump into the stands alone where the spectators would normally have been and proceeded to jump and shout Leeds songs towards the players.
Unsurprisingly, supporters showered Klich with praise and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he deserves to be handed the keys of the city, while others described him as “mental” and an “absolute hero”.
