With Leeds United Academy graduate Mallik Wilks having a very good year out on loan with Doncaster Rovers in 2018/19, he was in the headlines again recently given their manager Grant McCann gave an interview where he said that plenty of clubs would now be in for the 21-year-old next season if he didn’t get a crack under manager Marcelo Bielsa when football returns.
“The Lad Has Got Everything” – Manager Raves About Leeds Youngster & Tips Him For A Huge Future
With 16 goals scored and nine assists provided in 48 starts and seven substitute showings, the young lad certainly kicked on and showed he could back up his highly rated status with solid League One performances and now the question is, do we bring him more into the first team mix, or does 2019/20 see how he can cope on a loan spell out with a fellow Championship side.
These fans at least, are positive that he should be given a shot to impress over pre-season and then we can simply take it from there.

Would have him on bench at least

If Bielsa has him in the 23s then he’s got a chance, if he gets loaned out again he’s not got the characteristics for a Bielsa team just now

If Clarke leaves probably yes. But he'll need to up his work rate and fitness if Bielsa is to consider him. More likely another loan – this time in Championship

He has to have the chance to! Great player in my opinion and we need more wingers, it's a no brainer to give him a proper crack under MB!

Give him a pre season and see what Bielsa thinks????

Play him off the right flank cutting in onto his favoured left peg. A little predictable but a good option to allow Pablo to slot in to his preferred 10 slot.

Really hope Malik Wilks has a good pre season amd gets into Bielsa’s head. Could be a good option and a season under Bielsa would be great for him #lufc

It’s obviously not that simple with Wilks in an off pitch sense, but it is what it is.
