There’s plenty on the back of Paul Heckingbottom at the moment but I do think he’ll be staying put this summer.

There seemed to be increased rumours about him potentially being sacked in the off-season or imminently not too long ago but those seem to have died down.

Hecky himself expects to stay at the club and I think he will because he should probably be allowed to sign his own players before we can really judge him.

As quoted by YEP Sport, too, Hecky has said that he’s making decisions all the time about the summer:

Let’s take a look, then, at what some of our fans have been saying in response to the boss’ comments…

The Verdict

Heckingbottom is a manager who has been inundated with stick but I do think we’ll let him see the summer window and make some deals.

We’ve surely got to let him shape this squad into something better and I just hope Victor Orta doesn’t meddle too much.

It’s an important window, and Hecky has much to do to prove he’s the right man.

Thoughts, Whites? Let me know!
