It may be of interest for you to know that Rob Green became a free agent today as Huddersfield decided to let him go.
Part of the side that came so close to the play-offs in 2016/17, Rob is someone many of us have a lot of time for and were unhappy that he moved on, especially when you look at how he was replaced.
A year on, then, he is back on the market and, evidently, some of our fans want to see a move made for him.
That said, though, not all our supporters are of that way inclined:
Rob Green will depart Huddersfield Town this summer. #lufc https://t.co/mU27BQdj4T

Get the band back together?

His experience and calmness was one of the reasons we had a decent season in 16-17 and that loss contributed to the shambles of 17-18. I’d have him back in a heart beat. He would massively help BPF.

Experience to coach BPF and a very reliable back up. Definitely worth taking a chance on.

Bring him back…just need a cheeky bid for wood now & everything is sorted.

Bring him back now!

The Verdict
I’ve a lot of time for Green and nostalgia but, all the same, I don’t think we should really put too much effort in to bring him in.
Perhaps on a cheap wage we could do it but BPF is more than ready to kick-on and, if we do go for another stopper, I’d want them to have more years left than Rob.
