The official website has reported that Leeds defender Gary Kelly completed 75 minutes in a reserve game.
United were beaten 1-0 in the Pontin’s Holidays Central League game against Huddersfield reserves, but the appearance of Kelly has given a massive boost to the club.
Even more good news was that Stephen Crainey managed to complete 80 minutes in the same game!
‘Getting them back to full fitness is very important but I think Gary, because he’s been out so long might have a one two little aches and pains in the morning’ said coach Neil Thompson. I know the feeling. Sometimes I wake up after a long evening with aches and pains but I`m not sure that`s quite the same ;-).
There is currently no date set for either players return to the first team squad.
