‘Future Premier League champions’: Many Leeds fans react on Twitter to club’s transfer announcement

Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media after the Whites announced the signing of Mateusz Bogusz.

Bogusz joins from Polish third-tier outfit Ruch Chorzow on a two-and-a-half year deal, which runs until the summer of 2021, having scored five goals in 19 games this season.

The 17-year-old will not be a part of Marcelo Bielsa’s roster, however, as the central midfielder, capable of playing throughout the spine of the team, will be joining Carlos Corberan’s U23 side at first.

Leeds had been tracking the seven-cap Poland U19 international for several months and he also earned the interest of Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion, but Ruch Chorzow accepted United’s offer last week.

Bogusz’s arrival signals the Whites’ second confirmed transfer of the January window, after Kiko Casilla moved from Real Madrid on a free transfer earlier in the month.
