Leeds United and Republic of Ireland international Eunan O’Kane has become somewhat of a forgotten man at Elland Road as everyone’s attentions turned to our Championship promotion hunt under manager Marcelo Bielsa, and even then wider afield, Spygate, other issues and the sterling form of our Under 23 setup under the charge of Carlos Corberan.
The 28-year-old wasn’t for Bielsa though and with 32 games to his name in the campaign of 2017/18, he found himself shipped out over the summer to League One side Luton Town on a loan spell. He got four games under his belt but saw his season come to a very early end as he picked up a serious injury and he’s been diligently working his way back to fitness since then.
He’s been back at Thorp Arch for his recovery and rehabilitation, and although it seems incredibly likely his time with us is over, he has been able to celebrate some good news this week.

Although fans are mixed when it comes to O’Kane, I doubt there’s many who won’t be happy his long road towards recovery is now coming to an end.
